Even though he is not all the muscular, he still has a imposing figure. He has bright, almost neon green eyes, that tend to glow a little when he's mad.

Background:
His parents were killed in an explosion of the cargo ship (The S.S. Shining Light). They owned a small shipping company called Trans galactic, and they ran afoul of a mafia boss. He ordered their ship destroyed to punish Ryan (Who had infiltrated their organization in order to expose them).
Back then, Ryan worked as a law enforcement officer for the small planetoid of Pacifico. A class O world, mostly composed of water. Their company was based there, and they had a nice home on the coast (Ryan's still owns the home, though he lets his Aunt stay there while she awaits repayment of a settlement).
Ryan's early years were average. He got average grades, and was pretty normal except for the fact that he was always trying to decide if he was Betazoid, or Vulcan. After the death of his parents, and the subsiquent conviction of the mafia boss, he left the force in order to run the family buisness (which is doing quite well). He likes bartending because he basicly has nothing to do (and it helps him keep a low profile).
He also owns a small ship, the S.S. Dolphin. A rather unique ship designed for both underwater, and space travel. It is mainly designed as a cargo craft, but though his years on the police force, he outfitted it with several advancements (Better hull, weapons, shields, etc). when he was a police officer, he wasn't always on the streight and narrow. Infact, he still has several items that he shouldn't have. Most were never reported to the proper authorites, but he was known to steal certain items from people he busted. Mostly weapons, money, illegal shipments of achohol, stolen supplies (Medical, Intelligence, schematics, jamming devices, etc). If anyone raided his ship, he could be put away for several lifetimes. But thanks to several little Cardassian, Romulan, Klingon, and Federation devices (and a very think hull), all scan turn up nothing.
After he left the police force, we got several jobs as a Bartender, Bodyguard, and a Security Systems Analysis for a cardassian space station. He later used his access to get ahold of several cases of Romulan Ale, Yamok Sauce, and several Cardassian disruptors... he left the station a few hours later after covering his tracks throughly.
Now, oddly enough, he is an outside contractor for the police again. This time studying the security protocols onboard Federation starships, and filing lengthy reports with them on how they could improve their security (Basically a desk job).

Special abilities:
Even though Ryan is part telepath, he only has limited telepathic abilities. He is more of an empath than a telepath, but he can make a telepathic connection with someone if he has to. He must make physical contact with the person (much like Vulcans), otherwise, all he can sense is emotions.
Miscellanious:
Originally his last name was MaRee , but he changed it after the death of his parents.
The SS Dolphin remains docked at SB 782 while the USS Liberty is on missions.
