General description:

Eitari is well-trained, extremely fit and a handsome man by most women's standards. His appearance only tends to impress people at first sight. When on duty, his air of concentrated intensity and his closed face can prove disquieting for anyone with even a petty offence in their past. A man of duty, he holds that law is what stands between order and chaos. Although he will carry on with his orders, he is reluctant to allow for shades of grey in his appreciation of what constitutes the difference between lawful and unlawful acts. Age and experience have expanded his uncomprising views - but to a point only. Off duty, he is an easy going man who likes a good time with friends and family over anything else, although he may need a bit of teasing to be brought to relax.


History:

Eitari comes from a close-knit and exceedingly large family. He was marked early on as a dedicated student and his family often made it a game of dragging or luring him away from his desk and PADDs.

His best school friend turned into a carefree and careless adult prone to get into all sort of trouble on a whim, disregarding all but his own interest and fun. A young man of the highest moral fiber, it came to Eitari as a shock to realize that not all individuals share his sense of respect for the law.

First attracted by psychology and law in the pursuit of understanding the mechanisms of criminality, he soon discarded these studies in favour of the more practical goal of stopping criminal activities and enforcing Federation law. Starfleet Academy was an obvious step to take.

To this day, the ongoing family joke is that he first met, dated and proposed his wife on the only day off he ever granted himself while studying to graduate from the Academy. Although this is exaggeration, Bennett and Eshe (Swahili female name meaning "life") truly fell in love at first sight when he walked into a floral exhibition when she was giving guided tours. Within weeks, they looked and behaved as if they had known each other forever. They married the day he graduated and never looked back.


Hobbies:

Eitari has two things in his life, work and family. Due to his work that leads to much overtime and unpredictable schedule, Bennett Eitari spends all his free time around his wife and children and follow in their activities.


Miscellaneous:

Bennett Eitari is of half African, half Caribbean descent. This is quickly said for his family really comes from a number of ethnic groups based in these parts. As a result, he has a bit from all cultures and none of his own but for the "Eitari way of life": when you work, do the best job you can, and when have fun, have the best fun you can!

Eshe Eitari is a lovely woman whose looks are an amusing contrast to her husband's (small and on the curvy side) while she is just as passionate about her own endeavours. An exobotanist and landscaper by calling, she is now responsible for the considerable expanse of natural environment on SB 782, where she thrives at importing and adapting the most interesting of the exotic vegetal samples brought back by Starfleet ships. Her ambition is to revive a species of flower known as the Fire flower-tree. She is also a consultant on numerous projects led by the starbase's Science Dept, and has has a number of well-noted articles published.

Bennett and Eshe waited for the right assignment to start a family. This is how their two children are only 2 years (boy) and 8 months (girl) old. Their names are Sefu (sword) and Zakiya (beautiful).
