Description:

A tall, slender young woman. Her deceptively thin frame hides a strong physic. With shoulder length black hair, the only way you can tell she's not entirely human is by looking at her pointed ears.

Likes:

Valora likes kids, work and relaxing after work with her friends. She often spends time sitting in her office reading mystery novels or acting them out on a holodeck. And lets not forget the regular training that she must keep up if she wants to stay in Starfleet.

Dislikes:

She dislikes liars, and people who don't attend to their duties. She also dislikes gossip and people who spread it.

Strengths:

Mental and physical strengths are both high, but her understanding of the law is also a plus. She also feels that she is an easy person to get along with as long as you don't lie to her.

Weaknesses:

Slight temper, though it's not prominent. She also loses focus sometimes and needs a gentle reminder of what the goal is. Easily sidetracked. Often considers herself to be too mean at times and generally tries to lighten up even when it's not appropriate.

History:

The daughter of a former Tal Shiar operative, who defected almost twenty-three years before the Dominion War, and a Starfleet intelligence officer assigned to keep an eye on him, Valora spent her entire life on Earth and never once met any of her Romulan family. In school she spent very little time in study, but she always seemed to know the right answers. After having her tested, her mother, Bethany Hardy, was pleased to hear that her daughter had a photographic memory. With this knowledge Valora was skipped ahead a grade. But something bothered the girl, something or someone. She began to act out, getting into fights. She never seemed to get along with anyone. When asked about this she often told her parents that she was always being teased and picked on. To try and curb this behavior, and maybe take her mind off the trouble, Mrs. Hardy suggested that Valora should try out for some school sports. She did and soon was playing rugby, football and hockey. Soon she was even a captain on her highschool rugby team. Even with these after school activities, Valora was often the target for jokes, tricks and fights.

When she applied to the Academy, her application was rejected on the grounds that her marks, 89% average, weren't good enough. This didn't stop the determined young woman. She took more courses over the summer and then reapplied. The second time she was allowed in. At the Academy, Valora picked the Operation Department for her major because she enjoyed running the day to day life of a ship. In her classes she was rated third overall and was often cited as being very efficient. However, even her time at the Academy was no picknick. She was often pulled out of class by the Administration for questioning regarding her test marks, especially the perfect ones. She was also screened six times by Starfleet Intelligence before her application was even considered and they kept a close eye on her the whole time she was on Academy grounds.

Though publicly scrutinized, Valora never let it interfere with her classes or her extra curricular life. In the Academy, she made the rugby team again and what tops in her class in sprints.

Miscellanious:

Having skipped a grade, Valora was a year younger then most Starfleet applicants when she applied the first time. However, the extra time it took to compleat Ops, security and Intel training kept her in the Academy a year longer then it was supposed to.
